Jodie is obsessed with Deborah (the previous Mrs. Davies). She needs to know what happened to her and if she really took her life. This means Jodie has to dig deep and be sneaky. As secrets are revealed, suspense levels increase which keeps you turning the pages.
The ending wraps things up and leaves you satisfied.
